RB Leipzig 2026-27 Home Jersey: Still Red and White, but with Many Refined Details

RB Leipzig 2026/27 Home Shirt

Ahead of the Bundesliga home season finale against FC St. Pauli, RB Leipzig and PUMA have unveiled the 2026-27 home jersey early.

To be honest, at first glance it doesn’t feel like a completely “new design.” It still keeps the familiar red and white look, but a closer look reveals that many elements have been reworked.

Red and white remain the core colors—this has not changed, and it’s still the most consistent identity of RB Leipzig. However, the stripes are now thinner, giving the overall design a softer and more fluid feel compared to before.

The inspiration comes from the light strips outside the Red Bull Arena. The idea is easy to understand: the layered lighting effect of the stadium at night is broken down and translated into the jersey’s texture. As a result, when you look at the shirt, there’s a subtle sense of movement without being overly busy or flashy.

The theme is “Made for This. Made for You.” without overcomplicated storytelling.

For players, it represents readiness for competition and decisive moments. For fans, it is more direct—a simple expression of belonging to the club. It’s not a one-way design; instead, both sides share the same narrative.

The details are relatively restrained.

The club crest and main chest branding remain the most prominent elements, which is expected. The PUMA logo sits on the right chest and shoulder area, not dominating the design, but still noticeable in a natural way rather than feeling forced.

On the back of the collar, the “RB LEIPZIG” detail is a small but nice touch. It’s not loud, but it stands out when you tilt your head or view it from different angles.

In terms of materials, it uses RE:FIBRE technology, made with at least 95% recycled textile materials.

This is now common across many modern kits. Essentially, it recycles old textiles and reprocesses them into new fabric. It doesn’t affect on-pitch performance, but it reflects a more sustainable direction.

Overall, this is not a shirt with radical changes, but rather an upgrade in refinement and texture.

Red and white are still red and white, but the feeling is cleaner and more refined.
